The country estate 'Oostkenshil' is established and build in 1918, in order of the mayor of Oosterland at that time.
As usual at that time there was also build an building for store the means of thasport at  that time like coaches and horses, so wie call this a coachhouse.
After the mayor passed away the countryhouse served as local government offices.
The countryhouse became too small for a local government office after the merger of some villages, so it come a private property.

 The storebuilding of the country estate has lost through the years his originaly intention and is renovate into a spacious comfortable cottage which one is at the moment for rent as a holiday home and can booked by this site.

It is an perfect location for lovers of quiet down, space and nature and is located at the edge of the village Oosterland eastern of the island Schouwen-Duiveland.

 On the island you can find nature(reserves), historical villages and surprising museums.
Furthermore there are several beatches at the North Sea, just 25 minutes away, moreover the Grevelingenmeer where you winds-surfing to ones hart's content (a surf-school is available) and for people who loves diving there is the Oosterschelde.
The nearest golf-course is about 5 km. located of the country estate. On the island are several riding schools where you can rent horses.

The worksisland 'Neeltje Jans' with the world-famous 'Deltawerken' and with amusementpark 'Waterland" is a visit worth a lot.
